  1. This video could use a lot more photos BUT I was wondering about this. Yes – I have long since noticed a LOT of places have that dark gray-stained wood floor appearance, I am aware that most are vinyl LVP, and I've seen where that look is achieved with roll or sheet vinyl too I believe. I hate to admit it, but I do like that look with the white walls as well. I recently got some door mats, and an inflatable mattress, and they do "out gas" but mostly initially. After I put the door mats out in the sun, they didn't smell anymore, and the mattress eventually stopped smelling too, but I should have put it in another room with the window open or something.

  2. Fellow men…when faced with this hard decision, grab your wife by the hand, point at three good choices, and let her make that final filtered call. Ignore all other advice.

  3. I did multiple lvt 'click' floors ( to my friends/family members/cousins.. ) different tones etc.. and i must say, i love all color tones.. can something be trendy or not.. i really don't care if i like it.. All comes to that to fit the color of the floor with other furniture/lights ( how room/rooms are located and how lights going in that rooms ) .. you can make every single tone/color to work. Grey flooring for example maybe are dead.. because is not trendy.. i really don't care.. i did mine years ago, matched it with everything else in the house.. so to change it because … oh not trendy? That stupidity what people going for "fashion" is really dumb.. Anyway, if you rich .. do tiles and real wood. if you on the budget.. lvt and be happy.. they all looking nice and most important.. is clean and you feel good to be in that room.. so yup.. just go for it whatever color/tone you choose… and enjoy the life… For every person arround who bitching about how this floors are not environmental friendly.. well none are.. we chop living tree to walk on it.. if you think of.. 🤌

  4. Vinyl is toxic to make factories are over seas where pollution is common. Carpet is made in USA so don’t support china and Korea plus it’s still a temporary resilient floor just like carpet or wall paper. It’s a Floor Covering. We been ripping it out left and right due to water going under it. In a flood it’s usually disposed off unlike carpet which you just extract and dry. Tile is the only floor imperious to water.

  5. How about this: 'A guy with 'Hardwood Supply' in his channel name insists that LVP flooring is terrible.' It's not about trying to mimic hardwood floors; I can afford hardwood flooring, but I wouldn't install it in my house….

  6. Your comments are spot on and obviously earned. Long retired from hardwood floor installing/finishing days but can't stay away from good sense regarding my trade. And yes ,I occasionally got calls to come and price refinishing what was Luxury Vinyl Plank . People really thought it was wood and I'm sure were helped along the way by a contractor who just didn't manage to tell like it was. There is no cheap way to bypass attentive and committed grading , milling , installing and finishing a wood floor . Being a cyclist ,I am familiar with builder Keith Bontrager's line : 'Cheap ,light, strong.Pick any two.'

  7. Chasing trends on something as expensive as floors is a mistake. Go with what you think you'll still like in 15-20 years. If your friends are judgemental, get new friends.

  8. True. Using the name luxury vinyl plank is a marketing gimick. But so is demonizing all plastic in your home cancerous. Everyone. You better go throw your carpets away. Causing cancer.

  9. Real hardwood will last more than 100 years or more and compost when it’s ripped out. LVP has a 15-year lifespan, and can’t be recycled. It will have to be replaced 7-10 times compared to the hardwood.

  10. The pine floors with white and sand dune stains. Do you mind briefly explaining the process? What is the mix ratio? Did you bleach the pine before? Or did you use NordicSeal? What was the top coat? Thank you.
